Uttapam out of a Package

For breakfast, I decided to try out this package of Uttapam (which is basically the Indian version of Indian Pancakes). Ideally, if you have leftover dhosa batter, you would use that, but I don't have the facilities to make dhosa right now. So, you basically follow the instructions on the back of the packet. I used one bowl for measurement, so for every bowl of flour, you add 1 1/2 bowl water or 1/2 water and 1/2 yogurt. Then, let it sit for 10 minutes. I made some Indian masala chai while I waited.
Then, you heat up the griddle and spread the batter in a circular motion. I also added chopped onions and green pepper on top, drizzled one tbsp of oil, the flipped it over. And then you're done.
We ate it with cilantro chutney. I made a pizza out of mine, with the cilantro chutney and chatpat sauce (a version of spicy, but sweet ketchup). Bhavnesh doesn't like the chatpat sauce, but I thought the pizza tasted pretty good. ( no cheese of course!)
No post tonight because for dinner, we are going make some quesadillas with the leftover rajma beans. I might do a post for spanish rice!
Tomorrow's Menu:
Brunch: SevBhaji (A.K.A. sevsur)
Dinner: Taking a break from the kitchen, and eating out!
