While we were in Kodaikanal, the hotel served this great appetizer that we both loved- roasted papad with masala peanuts. It was a simple touch, but something you would never think of. I put it together for Bhavnesh's lunch and a quick snack for me later today.
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 green chilies, chopped
1/2 lemon, juiced
1/2 tsp red chili powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
6 tbsp Haldiram's roasted peanuts (You can use Planter's or any other kind)
It's easy ..
1. Dice the tomatoes, onions, green chilies and cilantro and mix it together with the red chili powder, salt and lemon juice.
2. Add in the roasted peanuts.
3. Serve at room temperature with roasted papad or eat by itself as a salad.
